I'm alone in my excitement about DC's recent lines then: I love Batman: BW, Women of the DC, and the Superman Cover to Cover (I know it's taken some grief, but how complex should a statue of a 1930's comic be?--the latest release is also exponentially better than the first) . While I'm disappointed in the price of the lines rising, I can stomach 45$ for a 8 inch statue more than 140$ for a 12 inch statue. I'm excited by the Ross Superman and the Weta Daily Planet. Yes, my DC collection is dominated by Batman and Superman. I tried collecting minor characters from Bowen, but having a bust of Deathlok, while cool, didn't mean a whole lot to me. The diversification of the bust line might appeal to some, but I really just stopped buying when the characters became lesser known and less appealing to me.
I'm not a completist of any company; I just buy what I like. Right now, DC Direct's products appeal to me. I suppose I'm the one to blame for the lack of diverisfying the character selection
I keep buying Batman and Superman.
