That's good to know.
I think Trump plans to work on scrapping the tariffs, once he has had a one to one with Xi Jinping.

So Trump is talking an 80% tariff on China now. Wonder if it goes through if there will be any reduction to any retailer's newly established tariff fees.
Prices hardly ever walk back so will they just start baking it into the MSRP?

I heard 45% with the strong possibility to be much lower.

All of this is not sustainable on a long run for anyone. I don't see how all of this was necessary to begin with and not just getting to the table and discussing concerns and solutions,
but then again I'm not into economy. This all felt like a head smashing to a brick wall for what should've been a tea party.

SS mentioned they will reduce them asap. But up has always been much easier than down again (if ever). We will see

Some news..
"In a major de-escalation of their trade war, the US and China have reached a deal to slash trade tariffs for 90 days.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says both sides will cut tariffs by 115%
It means US tariffs on Chinese imports will fall to 30%, while Chinese tariffs on US goods will fall to 10%"

Some thoughts..
When you think about outside this purposely created craziness, 30% is very high.. prices are still gonna skyrocket.

Yep, and on top of that we have shipyards that are empty and nothing coming in for months. The damage is already done. Talk about firing before aiming. I have no problem with intelligent incremental changes through diplomacy but pulling a pin and dropping a grenade at your feet while standing in place has never been a great idea.

When you come up with a big number outta nowhere you psychologically have to scare people with it and then bring it back to a number you actually wanted the entire time while getting people to accept the end result.
"At least it isn't a 145%"
People will swallow this load just like they're made to swallow inflation and more recently, a recession.

Has anyone here in the US had to pay any tariff charges on a ebay purchase, yet?
Also, it's crazy to me what we are seeing with the USA new car supply, and to think parts will get even more expensive on already overinflated new cars. How on earth will these companies stay afloat? It's better to buy a 10 year old car with low miles over any of the new stuff coming out.
