Songs that defined the 80s for you...
Curious what songs defined the 80s for you...and just a few please. I dont know about most of you but when lists get too big I stop reading.
Here are my picks:
-Hall & Oats - Maneater
-Michael Jackson - Billy Jean (I might get flak for this, but MJ was the man back then)
-Lionel Ritchie - All Night Long
-Shannon - Let the Music Play
-The Steve Miller Band - Abracadabra
-Paul Lekakis - Boom Boom (Let's go back to my room) - for comedy relief
-Culture Club - Karma Chameleon

Apart from Heavy Metal bands music from the 80's was pretty poor with the exception of the odd good song. Frankie goes to Hollywood had a couple of big hits too.

Flock of Seagulls - I Ran
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams are Made of This, Who's That Girl?, Here Comes the Rain Again
Madonna - Into the Groove, Who's That Girl?
Donna Summer - This Time
Rick Ashley - Never Gonna Give You Up
Bananarama - Cruel Summer, Venus
Culture Club - Miss Me Blind, Karma Chameleon, War Song, Do You Really Wanna Hurt Me, I'll Tumble For Ya

Pretty much on any 80's comp disc you'll find A Flock of Seagulls' I ran, Corey Hart's Sunglasses at Night, Tears for Fears' Pale Shelter, and others like INXS, Psychodelic Furs, etc!
