Short of using magic to fix the problem, there is an expense to rectifying this that I don't think was budgeted into the initial MSRP point of the statue.

Whether that cost is fully assumed by the factory in China or not, it's going to amount to an added production expense that didn't need to occur.

But I think this is a very subjective problem. The crusty old collector who demands nothing less than absolute perfection in everything complains about the smallest detail that he had to use a microscope to find, whereas the new collector who's just getting into this scale or this company is just going to plunk this down on his shelf and be blown away by the scale and shelf presence and craftsmanship compared to where he came from. Everybody should get something they enjoy, but I think some people sabotage themselves with their expectations. I'm not saying that here specifically, just in general.

Just received mine tonight but won’t get to open or inspect till after work tomorrow. I’m really hoping it’s just a few bad pieces in the run and not the norm, not looking forward to returning it after a year of waiting.

I hope more people give Chad and Tweeterhead another chance because I have both Joker and Bud and Lou and I can say those paint jobs were pretty spot on.

It's very strange because those pieces were a lot more intricate than Superman.

That's part of the problem, with The Joker the bar was set very high regarding the paint application... In comparison Superman kind looks like it was painted by amateurs or a professional who had one to many drinks

But I still have faith in Tweeterhead and Chad

Very fair and accurate. Good job.

The belt on mine is a tiny bit cleaner than yours, but your chest emblem looks way better than mine. Did you notice fine scratches on the blue parts of the costume? Mine has quite a few on the arms and legs that show up depending on the angle of the light.

Thanks. I don’t see scratches in the blue areas on mine. That would bother me if they were there.

Good review, I agree with everything you said...

It does irk me a bit that they didn't get the edition size right on the bottom of the statue... I would think most collectors would want the edition size to be accurate...
