Heard back from Sideshow this week on the Orko book-holding hand being changed from the prototype. Here is their response, which is pretty standard stuff I think:

"Upon inspection of the images you have provided and inspection of our own piece that we have on display in our offices it looks like there is no issue with the arm that hold the spell book and this was just a change to the piece that was made at some point in the production process, which is why it varies from the prototype which is subject to change.

However if you are unhappy with the piece and you wish to return the item I can offer you a full refund, we can arrange this for you at Sideshow's expense. In this case, you would receive a refund of all money paid directly to Sideshow, including original shipping costs and non-refundable deposits."

Shame that aspect changed from prototype to production.

But amazing that they'll return it at their cost, just for being a bit different than the prototype. No complaints about customer service!

SSAlex had this to say back in August when asked about the future of this line:

Future MOTU pieces will be coming from Tweeterhead, so I don't know what is coming down the pipeline for that line right now. I know it is supposed to continue for sure!

Maybe we should all head over to the Tweeterhead forums to show our support.

There's no maybe about, this line is dead.

I honestly don't think Tweeterhead would risk making a $500, ultra detailed 1/5 scale statue of say Man at Arms or Trapjaw in case they don't sell, they aren't as big of a company as Sideshow so they won't be able to adsorb the losses as well.

I'm hoping that TH or another company start another MOTU line in a less detailed, more classic look in say 1/7 or 1/6 scale.

I'd be happy if Iron Studios got the license and did them all in 1/10 scale, then we could get a lot of characters done and maybe have them in a sort of battle diorama, Heroic warriors vs Evil warriors vs Horde vs Snake Men.

I think there's a good chance that could happen, when they announced the classic Thundercats license at CCXP they got a ton of people on social media requesting MOTU as well, so that reaction must have put it on their radar.
