It's crazy...I've never seen it in person. Is it really THAT nice of a piece? That's crazy money.
I still think if SS's is a homerun that it'll have some effect on what this one goes for, but given the obvious demand for this one I'm not sure it'll be all that much.

I have it, and YES it's THAT nice. Hopefully SS will be as good or close.

It’s always going to depend on who you ask like any statue. But I love this statue.
Also consider the switch outs here (and I really need to take new pics since relocating her). As nice as I think SS’s will be, it’ll have whatever Ex it has (or not given Cyclops) but I doubt it will have switch outs on this level.
I forgot to put on the tornado swirl here

With an ES of 420 on XM Storm the SSC version will not change much.

I'm surprised I don't see more shots with this portrait. Beautiful flow to the pose. ...I actually prefer it without that swirl piece.

Ended at $3751 + $75 shipping. So over $3800. Yikes. To me this is just one of those statues that I would say, and DO say, "damn, wish I picked this up when it came out". But never ever would I then proceed to drop almost 4K on a statue lol, no matter how much I think I "love" this inanimate object that will just be sitting on a shelf to stare at. There has to be a limit imo.

Is it possible that the buyer JUST started collecting (missed out on the PO) and is a HUGE Storm fan and has money to BURN? Sure, it's possible. Is it more likely this is just another collector who collects really desirable statues only after the hype and rarity become apparent in the aftermarket? Yes, much more likely IMO.

Money is relative, guy I watch on YouTube drops 10K every month on statues and think his collection is $750K (and counting) right now.
For most of us $4K or even $1K is a sizable purchase, for some it is "I want it" and cost is irrelevant.

Of course "expensive" is relative. Take out the money to burn part, my point remains the same. The psychology of getting something many others now want, is a real thing here.
