I’m still weighing the options between Prime 1 Direct and Secret Compass.

I like that I’ll get it early with Prime 1 and I like the points. BUT with SC it’s less expensive but if you factor the points it’s a wash (if I spend them) BUT If shipping goes up with Prime 1 direct it could be more expensive even with the points
If you don't care about ES on this piece, I say just order it now. Who knows how many retailers are going to get.

That’s an interesting concept in regards to ease of buying VS ease of selling.

So, you went with Secret Compass? I’m pausing because I don’t know if I should go SC or Direct. Give me a one or two sentence sell on SC vs P1 Direct.

Can you get an accurate quote on economy shipping prices from Prime 1 for this? If so that will greatly assist in deciding which method is best for you.

Not necessary. Research was already done.

And don’t forget the inaccurate knee pads.

Angle and different pose shot with that one.

Inaccurate knee pads also apply to the 1/4. If you want to get pedantic, do so with some consistency.

I think you can find images from both the film and the statue to support both sides. IMO he's still on the chunky side (and I think most people agree) but it's nothing deal breaking at this point for most. Certainly thicker than the svelte idealized cinemaquette.

I think the body type on the 1/3 is perfect. I do think he's a bit huskier, but look at it as an improvement.

To call him fat is a overstatement. The body type is no more inaccurate than the CM or SWS, just in the other direction for once.

For the record, the 1/4 Big Game is also overly bulky but in other areas. He's much broader and more muscular than in the film.

Some shots look fine and others not so. Same goes for the movie prop when filming.

But when one uses two significantly different poses for comparisons which is clearly selective bias, critiques about knee pads on one thread and not the other (in fact boasts about how good the 1/4 is, which we all know is great in its own right), and has the audacity to say research is done. Big red flags of a statue basher on my radar. You can love both the 1/4 and 1/3 and critique both without bashing either.

But since this is an open forum, keep it up freakyguy, any publicity is good publicity right?
