I found the word I was looking for to describe this piece.
It looks cartoony.

Other than price, I think it's one of the best Berserk collectibles to date. Tsume show a great appreciation for the story.

It looks like it was inspired by the 90s anime

Feel the same, but the deal breaker for me is that they have picked up a bad art concept. This is very difficult to display. One would not have a clear shot from both of the warriors

I disagree, most of the influence here looks like it was drawn from the Golden Age Arc movies. I don't get any vibes from the 90s anime here. Even Zodd looks exactly like he appeared in that movie.
What makes this more clear is that during the presentation, the Tsume team heavily talked about the Golden Age movies and even showed reference sheets from it.

If copying the golden age movies was their intention they failed the colors just don't seem right and it looks cartoony exactly because of the colors

I think this is amazing, i like it more more than Oniri, however the shipping killed it for me. Didnt like the light effect on the torches looks toyish. I still think the black swordsman Guts by Prime 1 is the definitive statue for Berserk

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I think I really like this piece more than the Oniri one, and that one blew me away. But that price man. But then again, how many iterations of Batman and Superman do I really need? Decisions, decisions....

So much potential, so disappointing compared to their other work.
Questionable design/concept, and that Griffith/Guts head sculpt..
I guess to be fair, their licence is limited to the awful movies.
First Guts statue I'll be skipping.

i personally disagree with most of you. To me this is the best Berserk statue/diorama out there.
Early on we only had Art of War which were ok, small and overpriced. Recently we have a lot more choices but for me Prime1 looks great but in 1:4 at basically $1000/piece if I get Guts I still need to get at least Griffith and potentially more. That a lot of $$ and space.
Then F4F, a nice statue but I didn't fall in love with it.
Here you get Guts, Griffith and Zood in one piece. A monster sized centerpiece (I still don't know where the hell I'll display it.)
It represent the most important scene in the series aside from the Eclipse. The scene where the Band of Hawk realized there are demons in the world, the scene when Zodd realizes the Griffith is part of the God Hand, Gusts realizes Griffith is more than meets the eyes, Griffith realizes he's more important than even he thought... It's one of the most pivotal scenes.
And I think Tsume completely captured the scene. I love the light-ups as well.
I POed it right away despite the price, the shipping cost and the fact I have no ----ing clue where to put it.
