d*mn, I really wanted an alien. I would have bought it in any of the poses they had on digital display...except for the one they chose. I do not own an Alien statue. I really wanted a SS interpretation of an Alien. On one hand, I hoped for a classic pose that would normally be associated with the character. On the other hand, it is not a bad pose and I appreciate that they tried to do something never done in an Alien statue. My problem is that I will only buy one Alien statue so this is not the classic pose I was looking for. If I had multiple alien statues, then I would strongly consider this statue. It looks cool. I think the people adding this statue to their collection are ones that have multiple Alien statues. I do not think many new collectors wanting their first Alien statue with a classic pose will buy it.

Looks a heck of a lot like the Big Chap to me, could some Alien diehards shed some light on this?

I own the maquette and love it, so doubt I'll be purchasing this no matter its scale

It is Gigers Big chap, details look quite good also. The teeth aline are a hundred times better than the LSB in both sculpt and paint. Looking forward to the full reveal..

I think the tease stated these would be 1/5 but I'm not sure that was final or confirmed?

It's the 1:5 statue that was shown in the power-point presentation. Look in the ask sideshow, it's buried in there, somewhere.
