Mondo: Which do you find more attractive Variants or Regular editions?

I find myself liking the regular editions more than the variants. There are a few variants that I like more but, for the most part the regs are what I go after.
How about you?
Does the lower ES make you buy them over a reg. even if the reg is more attractive?

For me, it all depends on the individual print. I'm not worried about the ES at all, so that's never been a factor. I just go for the one I like the most. Couple of examples.

JRD Robocop: I think the blues in the regular look better (and suit the subject matter better) than the silver in the variant.

Tyler Stout Akira: again, I think the vibrant colors of the regular look better than the metallic paints in the variant.

Tyler Stout Star Wars (trilogy): I like the variants more on these three. The regs look fantastic, but I think the variants have a mor classic look.

Could probably post a few more examples but that's the gist of it I suppose it's nice to have a numbered print that has been signed by the artist as well, or even an AP, but the look of the print is pretty much the deciding factor for me.

Personally, I hate it when the collector in me is at odds with the fan in me.

Ditto. At the end of the day with Mondo I take whatever I can get my hands on, regular or variant.

I go with whatever version I feel looks best. ES means very little to me. The handful of prints I've bought so far have all been regular editions.

-Kill Bill
-28 Days Later
-Dawn of the Dead
-Blade Runner

I suppose someday I'll feel a variant looks better than the regular but so far that hasn't happened.

With the Adventure Time print, my daughter preferred the colors on the variant (as did I) so I scored that one for her for Christmas.
