So totally agree. JK Simmons deserves every bit of the Oscar he won.

Big Hero 6 7.5/10
Second viewing for this one and first post cinema. Still a solid animated film my girls love. Having said that I was actually bothered it won the best animated film Oscar as I felt it was inferior to the Book of Life, HtTyD2 and Boxtrolls as it was quite paint by the numbers and "safe".
The Kingsman 7/10
Over the top and totally enjoyable. A marriage of a Bond film with Kill Bill. Curious to see where Fox's sequel/franchise plans lay with this one. Some ROUGH special effects cost this one a half point from me.

Not sure why anyone would compare this to The Incredibles. Aside from both having a superhero theme the similarities end there. Big Hero 6 had a surprising amount of heart. I expected a decent story and spectacle, but I was a little caught off guard by how moving it could be. Excellent action sequences and a lot of laughs to be had, but it's short running time and some unnecessarily cheesy lines keep it from a higher score. Still very highly recommended.

That's exactly why.
Seems like everyone here compares comic book movies and that's their only similarity.

Just got done watching the American remake of Oldboy. Wikipedia states that producers shaved nearly 40 minutes from the film, and that doesn't surprise me. While it's very faithful to the Korean original, almost beat for beat, it lacks the quiet character moments that gave the relationships and ending more impact. If you're going to watch one version, go with the 2003 movie.
Oldboy (2003) - 9/10
Oldboy (2013) - 7.5/10

Agreed. This film was lightening in a bottle where everything came together to make the seminal Star Trek film.
I doubt it will ever be replicated.
That's the main reason I couldn't stand Into Darkness. It was almost a laughable parody that basically spat on the narrative from Wrath of Khan and turned it into a ridiculous mess. If all they plan to do in these new Trek movies is rehash old plots from the original series or movies in the new time line than they are going to run the franchise into the ground.
