Depends which silicone is used. Cheaper silicone can deteriorate over time. Platinum silicone will last a life time.

I agree, a rough likeness especially for a 1/2 scale.. Also I wouldn't really buy anything silicone personally :S

It doesn't :| It's marketed to last like 50 years, whether it actually does or not I don't think anyone has found out yet ;p Also unsure about the best stuff but generally silicone requires some upkeep as well.
