I can't even tell you how many emails I sent back and forth to Trimpe. At least a dozen even before settling on what kind of commission to get. Very friendly, very cool guy that always returns emails. I asked him for a full commission and a quick sketch - here is the commission:
As you can see - I asked for a penciled Hulk holding a damaged Iron Man helmet. I laughed out loud when I opened the envelope and pulled this out! Man, I am so psyched with what this guy can do! It's a classic Hulk face - and even better the picture tells a story!
Sorry about the pics - the flash seems to have washed out the details - hopefully you can still make out the awesomness of the piece! I will post the sketch in the next post...
