You should have 1/6 and 1/4 as an option, that's what my vote goes to.

One scale per design makes sense on the grounds, pieces tend to be designed with the scale in mind.

Which is perfectly fine. I grabbed the 1/3 and have no idea where she’s going. Like Loki pointed out if it’s done from time to time (special) and doesn’t disrupt anything I’m fine fine with that.

XM had a plan 6 years ago to release 3 Autobots and 3 Decepticons for their TF line. They had stills and concept art to get everyone excited and ran with it. Before Covid started they showed off those small scale TF’s that Grumpy said would be bronzed, everyone complained and it’s been years since we’ve heard a peep about them. I’m guessing the idea was canned and has morphed into the busts.

Easy to ask this when all you collect are big franchises.

For digital sculpts yes multiple scales are helpful.

The time for faux scarcity in this hobby has looooong passed.

In fact, I'd take your point one step further......in my opinion, traditional Statue collecting is meaningless.

Right now, for the money we're paying, not just for the low quality products, but for b*llshi*t transportation fees - I'd rather buy an stl file, print out the sculpt, make my own mould for polystone casting / silicone - build and paint my own finished product. At least then this can become a true hobby and not just an acquisition based activity.

A few years ago, what I'm suggesting would have been ridiculous - the level of investment and time required to get your own shop up and operational would have been huge in comparison to simply buying (and shipping) a finished statue from China.......but today?......I've got around 12 pre orders for 2022 - total costs could buy me a new small car ($15,000)....that's just for 2022......that number will go up with pre orders possibly announced this year......

At that price, I'm definitely looking into opening my own "home manufacturing"......

I'm OK with different scales - gives the collector the flexibility and freedom of options.

I loved the Queen Catwoman Batpod 1:3 statue but I ultimately declined due to the price and the size.

Luckily, there was a 1:6 option too - sure, it was downgrade but it was more affordable and catered to my collecting needs better. And it allowed me to cancel my Hot Toys preorder for the batpod.

I voted 1 size only. The reason (apart from the licensing issues) is I believe a statue is detailled with a specific scale in mind. 1:2 vs. 1:4 is a totally different thing. Also expectations differ with the price difference too.

This would be my preference too.

I like different scales but I find some stuff I don't need 1/4 and a 1/6 would be perfectly fine (and be nearly half the price). Others, I want it to be larger. Giving collectors the choice is never a bad thing....
