Hm I not really a fan of the statue. But is this really a big issue?
Is seems not visible frontal or even slightly from the side.
You wont look on her downward on the sides normally..

It certainly works for me at the moment, but who else has mineral tack sitting around their house? Without it, the sleeves slide down her arms on both sides. I see how they were supposed to stay up, but the design is too short to achieve that goal. That is why I am wondering if every one of these statues has the same issue. Trust me, the mineral tack will fail over time since it is working against gravity. Gluing would prevent the statue from being taken apart and boxed in the future.
There has to be others who have received this statue that can confirm if theirs suffers the same issue. I might be one of the first that received the newest release. I personally thought I was an idiot for the first 10 minutes I was trying to get them to stay up to no avail.

I'm confused. How could this happen on a fully-sculpted statue? Are the sleeves PVC pieces that have to be attached?

Some parts are PVC and the sleeves have to be attached. There is no way to physically attach them. There is a little lip on the sleeve (a couple millimeters), which looks as if it is supposed to wedge between the statue and jacket. Since the jacket moves, this setup doesn't work. I don't know if there is something wrong with the jacket on mine and it is too loose.

The quarter-scale FFG statues almost all have issues with the PVC pieces. Ritual's sword and removable garments were sometimes warped from Yamato's tight packaging; Lady Ninja's often show up on eBay broken; and Luz Malefic's cape leaves paint residue on her shoulder, which is why I opted to display her without it. I'm sure making these resin would result in worse breakages and paint scratches though, so I've forgiven these flaws for what, up until now, have only affected optional costume pieces. Dead Moon's sleeves obviously aren't meant to be. Ironically, I think the statue would look better without them.

Couldn't you use a putty knife to remove some of that excess tack (if it bothers you that much)?

It doesn't visually bother me that much. What bothers me is that I don't know if there is something wrong with my particular statue or if all of them are like this. The mineral tack will not hold up long term.

The statue should come as advertised. If you're putting out that kind of money, you shouldn't have to MacGyver it.
