This piece is definitely on the borderline ...between pin-up pose and museum pose.
That's why you have two camps seeing it one or the other. One camp is stating its pin-up and the other camp is stating its museum pose. It's borderline ...that's why both camps can't agree. Especially if you consider who Mystique is as a character ...being ruthless and deadly ...then this pose is too cutesy. However, she does have her guns and knives with her, too, so you could say she's in character.
No matter ...each collector must make their own decision on this piece. Like it or don't like it ...its up to the collector. Personally, I don't like it. The pose looks forced and awkward ....and it does look pin-up to me, too.

I'd consider her a Femme Fatale.

So, not that it makes a pile of difference to me what other people consider this statue's pose to be (because it doesn't sway my love for this statue) - but, I'm still curious for the people complaining about it being too pin-up:
Do you consider these pin-up?
EDIT: By the way - I used to own the comiquette and I still own the PF - but until today, seeing these pics next to each other, I never realized how their poses are almost identical (with the exception of the right arm).

The reason why her pose remind me of pin-up pose is due to several factors. The combination of playful blowing gun portrait, tall heels for an assassin, and unnatural classic pin up pose witn one leg up. If at least one of the factors were absent, I might have thought otherwise. This is just my personal opinion and not trying to prove those who disagree with me wrong.
It’s simple. Those who are not bothered by the pose will buy the statue and those who are, will not.

I'm with this post 100%. That is why I will not buy the piece, congrats to those who do. It will be perfect and just like you see in the photos - if not better

To me ...these two are not pin up poses ...they are more museum pose.
However, there is a hint of "pin-up" in how their arms are posed. On the first one, she has her left arm up and hands running through her hair. To me, that's being cutesy ...so I consider that slightly "pin-up". Only that aspect, tho.
On the second one, she has both arms up and hands resting on her head. Again to me, that's being cutesy ..so I consider that slightly "pin-up". Again only that aspect, tho.
I see Mystique as being ruthless and deadly ...so when I see a statue of her being cutesy, then that cutesy part is "pin-up", IMO. Honestly, its subjectivity ...its all in how an individual sees it. And not everyone is going to see it the same way.

I don't care much either, but since people keep bringing it up as some sort of negative reason to dislike the piece, I thought I would ask.
