Apologies for the ancient thread revive.
Thinking of picking this up again after selling my PF a few years ago. Did I read somewhere that Sideshow reissued this a few years later that had a cream / off white tint to the armour ?

Nah I remeber it like he said, the more recent ones weren't pure white like the older ones. However there is now a newer better PF that replaced the OG storm trooper PF. The new PF didn't have that problem that I remeber and the helmet is a million times better and the pose too (no longer bowlegged).
However it does still have some serious problems with the armor. The vambrace/rerebrace is too short exposing a lot of his elbow, same with his thigh guards exposing wayyy to much of his upper knee. The worst however is the breastplace which very undersized for the trooper. It should go all the way up to the neckbrace and cover more around the waist towards the arm pit.
So if you're looking to pick it up from SS you can buy it without worrying about a yellow batch as they don't sell the OG pf anymore. If you're buying off of ebay make sure there are pics. Or you can hold out hope that one day HT will release their 1/4th trooper or someone else will do it better.

Hot Toys does have a 1/4 stormtrooper prototype they have brought out to a couple of conventions. It probably would have been their next entry in the 1/4s after Vader before Mando fever gripped Disney’s Star Wars merchandising plan.
