I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I dread taking the old one down, but I prefer this one by far.

Finally, the inevitable variant is unveiled. There's some pros about this, but let's see if Sideshow can keep them. The head sculpt is very cool. Hopefully SS doesn't hit it with a 5 o'clock shadow this time. The pits, are of course, perfect on this one. Hopefully they'll stay true to keeping them form fitting. Lastly is the chest logo. It's again raised with this prototype. I hope they can keep it that way with the production release.

The utility belt looks really cool and matches that era just fine, but the buckle should be painted in a way to indicate that it's made of metal and not rubber-looking like the rest of the belt. I might get this if it looks this way when it comes out.

If this comes with an exclusive item, I'm sure it'll be the same Batarang EX, or hopefully a different tool of the trade, or even a different head sculpt.

I'd have hoped that there was more significant changes to the original. There is already so many of this sculpt.

I think it is a mistake that Ssc made almost 10k of the first PF which is still in stock while releasing this one. Those are going to sit in there warehouse for years.

Realistically the Es for the modern should not be over 2500. But giving the $$, they will make 5000 or so.

Now that would be flooding the market.

Pffftt ...that's easy!

For the remaining inventory, they'll just make his costume all white and let everybody go bats**t crazy to buy it...

Great, more variants. It's Bowen all over again.

This is an iconic costume that I think deserved its own sculpt. The DC line has been very well done so far, but it's getting watered down by all these variants, IMO.

If this comes out with good tailoring of the pits, good paint apps, and a raised chest logo, then I'll pick it up for sure. If it doesn't then I won't, and you might be right when you say this version will collect dust in the warehouse for years.

I hope to God they do this right, because if they do, it'll be a perfect contrasting Batman to my '89 Keaton PF.
