It's interesting to me how many loved MoS and want a sequel closely tied to that film. I too count it as one of my favourite CBM's. Having said that I will bet dollars to dimes that A) Snyder is not directly involved at all B) It is significantly more overtly "super" ala the Marvel films. Both will represent a huge fundamental change from MoS for better or worse.

"The Super" was already with DC in their original Superman movies. Just update it and most people will be happy even those who enjoyed MoS. The one thing which has lacked completely in MoS and BvS is the actors personality. The director has failed to bring that charisma he has to the table in his direction. It can only help the next movie if that is addressed.
I am not convinced Synder is an actors Director.

I think Cavill's portrayal of Superman is one of the film's biggest strengths. So many seem to want what they've already seen. I was happy to see what a man with god-like powers might be like among a troubled species such as us. Does he simply blend in since he isn't human? Does he interfere with our problems and risk making us too reliant on outside sources instead of finding our own strength? Or does he choose to become a champion and a symbol for hope and what can be achieved?
This rendition of Superman wasn't just a superhero who rescues people from burning buildings and stops bank robberies and I appreciated the depth of what this kind of person might actually be like.

I certainly enjoyed his portrayal more in MoS than BvS but it still lacked charisma. And the guy has it in spades.

Indeed. We need to see the guy who was investigating Batman in the BvS UE given a chance to present that both as Clark and Superman. The biggest travesty of BvS was that Superman didn't get even the slightest chance to speak at that hearing

But Superman doesn't. Superman is not really a character known for his charisma. He can be a friendly guy, maybe engage in light banter among his friends or a "witty" quip to a villain, but nothing that exudes what I would call charisma. I like Cavill in the role, and I'm hoping when Superman "returns" he will have a lighter outlook on life and his responsibilities, but I'm not expecting a huge personality change.
