The Oxford Murders 7/10

Not bad. Elijah Wood isn't one of my favorites but he works in this movie. Better than I expected for sure.

Irreversible - 1/10

Vile and disgusting. Could barely watch it. Most disgusting movie I've seen since "Cruising" with Al Pacino in '80.

Gets a 1 because of the revenge part.

Batman and Robin 2/10

I tried, oh I tried, to sit through the whole thing. Almost everything about this movie is wrong. I stopped after about 30 minutes.

George Clooney is aweful, Alicia Silverstone terrible, Arnold hammy, and Chris O'Donnel annoying.

2 for Uma Thurman, who did over act a bit, but was the least offensive part of the movie.

So glad Batman Begins came along to help lessen the blow.

I watched this film as part of shocking cinema in my journalism degree...while a horrible film, it's technically brilliant and well acted.

Watch the revenge part again...think you might not appreciate it so much the second time around...

.
I realize weight gain "can't always be avoided", though her trainer & the producer's leg-breakers should've been on her months in advance to lose the weight (ie not entirely Alicia's fault), but wasn't she built like a bus in that movie? Only saw it once, and I remember Chris's "Dick" making comments about how gorgeous/etc she was in the film, and I was like.... really? They couldn't omit those lines? I mean.. it's feasible that Grayson would be attracted to heavier ladies, but... Alicia just seemed.. ill-fit for that role (I don't have anything against the actress, herself).
