I basically started mixing two different waxes from Willowproducst.com and came up with Fuse Wax, which is the best dang sculpting material out there.

Check them out hope this helps you!
And do yourself a favor and order at least one pound, you will never go back to Castilene again.

I´m a Castilene user myself too, SO I may give it a try to Fuse sometime later.

BTW awesome Slythe, Erick!!

Wicked sculpt(s)! Lovin' them! I really like Slythe in that he has sort of cartoony proportions, BUT there is a reality about the way you have treated the forms. Brilliant!

Gotta chime in on the Casteline/Willow Products Wax conversation.
I was a long time Castelineer, and produced quite a few objects with it. I got tired of it after the formula changed, but I parted with it with great saddness in my heart; I loved the fact that you could build with it like clay, but surface it like wax. Wonderful!

I ordered a few pounds of Zen wax from Willow Products (I forget where Zen is on the food chain of Gary's waxes, but it is definitely in the warm-it-up-a-bit-and-build-like-clay-but-cool-it-down-and-sand-and-detail-to-your-heart's-content catagory), and have begun work on an 18" Navajo figure.

All I can say is Zen has become my new best friend. Period.

Anyway, once again, will watch this figure with great interest!
