They have been added a s**t ton details that their comic counterparts have never had.

Bro I did say they were inspired...not direct copies.

Whatever guys, it was just my 2 cents I'm not even building a full Avengers display, I'm mostly interested in a standalone Iron Man, so it's really a non problem for me if it fits or not with the other Avengers. I'm in no rush at all, also, if this one doesn't impress me I can wait one, two, three, five, ten years for the right Iron Man, is not that much of a priority.
BTW, random thought since Loric has been asking for Ronan for months, after watching GotG I hope they go for a comic version and not movie version, lol.

I personally hope they maintain the classic look without to much "modernization", maybe they can add a few details to the chest plate, gauntlets, boots, the power pods on his hips, but I hope the helmet remains classic, the retro sci-fi look is the main charm of the classic suit especially the helmet.
Also adding joints to the suit (elbow, knees, etc) wouldn't really make it classic anymore since the classic suit was a sort of flexible metal-mesh.
Having Stark's eyes visible under the mask would be a nice touch, that was one of the best details about Sideshow's comiquette.
My ideal would be a straight up Bob Layton inspired design with some finer circuit detailing to the Red parts of the suit.
