Great Point-Out. The Image line of "Frank Frazetta's books have all been great so far. Not sure if they're still publishing them. -

Fill us in on Belladona?

CHRONICLES OF CONAN from Dark Horse

DH's reprints of Marvel's Conan the Barbarian series is back on my radar with the release of volumes featuring the work of the great Geoff Isherwood. He started off as an inker for Val Semeiks but eventually took on penciling and inks, IIRC - I know he did some solo covers, at least. Anyway, he worked with quite a few pencilers on both CTB and King Conan and gave the books a consistent, highly-detailed look. CTB was pretty awful throughout the early and mid '80s, but later in the decade, when these issues came out, Jim Owsley had taken on the writing and produced some pretty good political intrigue plots, rather than the standard sword and sorcery every damn issue. If nothing else, check out The Heku Trilogy, which will be in CHRONICLES OF CONAN Volume 27.

Though I have to wonder... Amazon lists this at $12.99 retail for a 172-page hardcover. Surely not?!?

Man, that's a heck of a deal. I would expect it to cost over twice that amount.

But assuming that the information is correct, I will definitely buy it. The pages look great.

EDIT: Correct page count for this volume is 64, not 172 as shown on Amazon. Seems that this is the first part of a multi-volume adaptation of Elric of Melnibone, so perhaps it's 172 pages spread over three volumes
