I want to make a RA at some point, but who knows at this point. Stuff has to sell to make items from the same license.

The paint matches the 1:1 and I posted a few pics on FB to show how bright the 1:1 actually is, but everyone's an expert even though we have both screen used originals in the collection.

We have a lot of new licenses to work on....

The only reason they aren't selling is the cost. The international prices are beyond a bad joke. And the shipping and import costs when buying direct are crippling us. Especially as the prices of the items themselves keep on sky rocketing. I'm not sure I can offer much in the way of constructive advice as this is just how things are now sadly as the bubble begins to burst. But rest assured we share your love of these, and while many of us have sadly been forced to pass, we'd all like them.

All of that said, I hope these make enough that you keep on making stuff like this. While I struggle to concede defeat more and more in the hobby I have loved for so long, they are still great to admire from a distance.

These are huge pieces, 1:2 scale doesn't mean half the cost to produce. I'm paying 2/3 of what it cost to make the 1:1 version in half scale.

At $600 we don't make a lot and wholesale on $750 we make even less.

We will not be carrying stock in the future so only the product ordered will be produced.

We will be announcing a new partnership soon which will make a lot of collectors happy that complain about costs. We can now pick and chose what we want to put out for our high end products.

I'd like to put out three, maybe four a year moving forward.

Paul

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Top Left = original prop
Bottom middle = 1:2
Same studio, same lighting (approximately) yet they look pretty different to me.

So I guess there;s little point posting here anymore if you're going to be labelled 'an expert' for posting what was seemingly a reasonable question.

Best of luck with the sales. Looks like a great piece.

Yeah ones about five feet closer and right under the lights. The other is 7' and not in direct light, but it's cool, if you don't like it, so be it.

Why must everyone give Paul a hard time?

Why does it look like Anubis misapplied blue eye liner on the top picture Paul posted?

Hey Bobfrog.
Really? Are you serious?....
As Paul pointed out to you and others, the studio is the same, BUT the statue positions, heights and lighting effects are different.
Paul did not have to point that out, but it is so obvious. No wonder Paul gets annoyed with some people on this Forum.

Who cares if there are subtle differences between the production replica and the original. Close enough is good enough for replica statues or movie prop replicas for most reasonably minded collectors in the prop replica collecting world.
And as Paul mentioned earlier (which I might add, he should not have to waste his time doing this), half scale does not automatically equate to half price, obviously.
