She looks great. I want to love it more but I don’t like the perspective base effect with the moon pizza cutter.

I would have considered with something else.

FTR - Kwannon is great in the comics.

They might do what they did with Hawkgirl and Robin and not be specific at all.

Sideshow might as well mention Betsy and Kwannon in the description since this statue could really be either one since it’s always Kwannon’s body in this costume no matter whose mind it is.

I would say I’d like some other look for Psylocke but unfortunately unlike other X women Psylocke doesn’t have any other clearly popular options that would sell as well.

Also all 3 Psylocke PFs are on her toes. I never understood it about the 1st one and they keep doing it. At least this new one is the 1st time it makes sense.

Sure the base sucked on the previous Sideshow Psylocke, but the actual statue i adore.

This is my 1st and last Psylocke statue. I only need one, and this the one.
On a side-note, i had a chat with the (Russian?) sculptor via email on the subject of the two portraits.

I really love what I am seeing from this statue and I will be buying it for sure. I plan on displaying her behind the brown suit wolverine with the Japanese base. I think they will pair perfectly together. Would be great if they had a 2nd portrait that would fit on the previous PF so my wife will stop giving me crap about her

My one concern, like others have mentioned, is that forced perspective base. I really hate it on spider gwen and I'm hoping that part of the statues is removable. Do we know if the forced perspective part of the spider gwen statue is removable?

Forced perspective makes very little sense for statues.

The entire point of a statue is to be viewed from multiple angles. If the only way it looks good is from straight on, what's the point?

It might look fine inside a Besta. And that's how you'd pretty much have to display it--inside a Besta that is eye level. However, it would look bad paired with a lineup and it would look bad from any angle except straight on.

Keep in mind, I think that Psylocke looks GREAT--I'm just talking about the MOON looking bad. The forced perspective aspect. The rest of it looks good.
