The only DC comic I've ever read regularly are the various incarnations of the JLA, off and on... (not including Johns' fantastic work with GL.. and some Starman (Will Payton), waaay back in the day)... and this part of the "Rock of Ages" storyline was SO dark...

.. making this one of my favorite covers in comics; plus, I just loved the whole "Citizen Kane"esque poster of Darkseid in the background, and the fact that they were just spotted by one of Darkseid's minions.

The only two issues worth a damn from this 6-part storyline are the ones involving Darkseid. The heroes pictured are (unintentionally) sent to an alternate future, where... everyone's f#cked, courtesy of Mr. 'Seid... and Superman!
