The stuff with Cooper(s) and the Black Lodge, as well as the stuff in Twin Peaks all made sense to me. The stuff in NYC made sense but I can't see how it relates to anything. The scene in Vegas I had no idea what that was about, but mostly because it was so short. The stuff in South Dakota made sense, but again I don't see how it relates to anything.

It's only two out of eighteen hours (I have not watched three and four yet) so there is much to explore and find out about before we can put the pieces together. I was honestly surprised how well I was able to follow and make sense of what I saw. I was sort of expecting not to, and thought I'd be doing way more head scratching than I did.

And, yet, there I was. Maybe 27 years of time since watching it was too long. I did understand how some of what was in this related to the old series, but the entire ensemble show just felt too intentionally vague and largely internally disconnected and, frankly, weird just for the sake of being weird.

We'll keep watching a while longer to see if it comes together.
