Her name was Claudia, it was mentioned in that silly Darkness 1/2 special that you get when you join the Top Cow fan club. That was so many moons ago...

I was going to root through my comics to find Claudia but would have looked in the wrong issues as the 1/2 issue didn’t even cross my mind 😅. You saved me some time but then again it would have been nice going down memory lane to remember why the first Angelus left such a powerful impression on me. The comment that we need a fierce Angelus is bang on...no weak cosplayers please. She needs to look like she would eat you and smile...

Fierce or fail on this.

The Darkness was released looking like it came right out of the comics. This Angelus better be the same way. The sculpt needs to look like the comics artwork.

Darkness was spot on. Mags and Witchblade were not up to snuff IMO. It was all because of the portraits. BUT since Magik came out lovely and this is another horned lady, I've got a little more hope.

After Witchblade and Magdalena, I'm cautious about this. Even Darkness felt lacking in areas and feels pretty dated overall.
I expect something to the level of Thanos / Lady Death.

I agree with regards to Magdalena and Witchblade. Both XM statue were lackluster.
IMO, it was because both sculpt deviated too much from the comic artwork. Their portrait didn't come close. Even moreso with their body sculpt.
Why can't companies just understand that what attracted us to the comics were the story and the artwork. Use the artwork to your advantage when making statues, fans already love the artwork.

I like the XM Witchblade. She looks great with Sideshow's Fathom. Angelus should be an instant preorder for me unless they really do something messed up with her.

Same opinion here
I also have Darkness, but I feel nothing special about this piece anymore, Thinking of selling this statue.
I will keep Witchblade.
Heck I even ordered Magdalena. But she has to leave, too.
Angelus should be great, hopefully.
