I wouldn't say it is perfect. He came with a small pinhole in his belly where the... I think fiberglass, didn't fill properly. There are a few spots where flaws weren't sanded or removed prior to painting. But, stand 3 feet away and you are captivated by the realism.
A worthwhile purchase for anyone who is fascinated by the Rancor. Just don't focus on the little things."
You can clearly read he has been let down / expected better overall quality. I feel sorry for him; He should receive a replacement.

Was this comment for the RR or Sideshow Rancor? I saw that many reviews now that I do not remember

I’m a 1/4 scale collector and rarely go off track for a piece. The SS Rancor was recently added to the collection.
First, he’s big. Very big.
The paint detail is good but could be better. I wanted certain parts of him to look wet. He looks very dry and if you remember from the movie his skin was glossy that gave him a wet reptilian look.
He absolutely stands out. In my collection he commands a good size wall all to himself. I built a custom pedestal from MDF board because he just won’t fit on anything standard size.
He is a show stopper and it’s good for every collector to have a couple of those “this is insane!” pieces.

Congrats.
Making him look wet at certain parts, should be possible to do yourself, right? gloss varnish or combination with one drop of colour with varnish.
Think there are ppl on SF who can give a helping hand.

Not a huge Star Wars fan (appreciate its place in Pop Culture) but love this thing. It has enough of a fantasy aesthetic to it that it fits in with other 1/4 pieces as a standard baddie, even though in reality he's a 1/16th or something lol.
Basically I appreciate art of anything that looks like it belongs in another world, and this hits that. Jumped on the waitlist.
