Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The desire for PCS APs really got devalued for me when they started selling off excess stock and slapping the AP label on them. But that's just my opinion

I don't think that there should be a competition to win quality, so to speak.
Jerry's signature on the statue's base is a nice touch though.

Thanks jac.
lol there is no "competition". If there is, the game is rigged.

this post says it all

I believe there are around 25-30 AP's made for each statue run. Around 15 of these AP's go the first 15 collectors to place an order. The others are kept as back up pieces or for spares. I know this becuase I have had issues with a piece before (shipped to the wrong address and lost) and they sent an AP as a replacement as thats all they had remaining.

Later down the line the AP's which remain are sold on the warehouse gems program to free up warehouse space. I dont think theres any 'slapping' goes on these are shipped as AP's from the factory along with the numbered run. It states AP on the Base, COA, box and brown shipper. Often you actually see the AP run on the brown shipper for example AP 5 of 25.

The best point about the AP is the fact that Jerry autographs the base. Of course to do this they must all be opened which is where the quick inspection part comes in. Especially for the pieces Jerry sculpts himself such as the 1/3 Akuma to a PCS collector the autographed AP is a nice touch. Otherwise its exactly the same statue as the numbered run.

In general its always the same collectors who get them anyway as they understand the system.

My point is this... If I got #127/300 and it had a defect, I would get one of those spares (and presumably it would be tagged as #127 before being shipped out). If you had #220/300 and had to get a replacement, you'd get another spare (which would be 220/300). The rest of the remaining stock that wasn't used for replacements is what goes on sale as the Warehouse Gems.

And I understand why the same collectors get all the APs, I totally get the "system". All I'm saying is that it's not a fair system. (I stated weeks ago that I would get one for this statue just to prove just that point). Maybe "rigged" was not the right word choice but the point still stands.

I do agree with you though that having Jerry sign the base is a definite + to getting an AP

I've just never went for AP's cause i prefer numbered statues.

Here's the "system"...
Just load this, as it is tied up with the paypal/ebay servers, and make sure you hit the paypal purchase button at exactly X:XX:00

(make sure you time it whilst pressing the last button in the paypal purchasing process)

Hopefully this gives the regular AP crew a bit of competition

For me it's due to the signature, as its the only way Jerry will sign it. I tried to get him to sign my Goro base at Wondercon, and he stated his sig is reserved for the AP program. I respect that, so that is why I always strive to get an AP for future orders.

I'm at least happy I've got one AP statue coming, even if I never get another.
