Thanks guys, I painted this piece, been a long time since I've painted a dinosaur, but I've painted my share of 1-1 Raptors over the years.

The Male rex most get wrong, he's really a brown color with green overtones, very tricky and I had to send about fifty photos of my process to the factory.

I'm confident Toynami will get it right.

Here are a few pics of my process.

Everyone calls me crazy because I finish one area and move on....just the way my brain works...

That looks awesome, I may well end up ordering both the male and female versions.
Oh and yep, that is a bizarre way to paint a statue!

Great paint work, Paul. Factories usually suck at painting dinos, especially the ones that matters. Hopefully this one will turned out well.

Life size JP dinos usually get additional weathering/set dressing on the set. The triceratops in JP is the best example if you know the story. The male T-Rex look much more blended then that but it's close enough for a clean looking dino.

What was the process on this one again? Was it a cast from a SW piece? I remember the 1:5 female body with the male head, but this looks way bigger?

THX217, I think it depends on the lighting and the angle.

In some light he's very brown and in other light he's very green. The important thing is not to shade your dino, let the natural light do that....

True and you definitely nailed it but let's hope the factory can do the master justice.

depends which part of the factory does it, the ecc rosenburg bust had a paint job WAY more difficult than this one and they nailed that.
