Gargoyle base is EX from TH and SpecFiction. I know the TH ones will be getting the Church base as well later on but I am not sure if the SpecFiction Ex will.

Breakdown of edition size is this.

550 Regular
186 TH Ex
78 SpecFiction Ex
My god, Tweeterhead needs to get their act together. 550 Reg is fine. However, having two different EX runs with different edition numbers makes absolutely zero sense whatsoever.

First of all, it means that people who are ordering off of places like Spec Fiction are not getting what is advertised on the site. Second, it means that right now there are 264 EX pieces in circulation, but with two different sets of numbers?

Every company has its things (like the XM steel cards which cause some debate), but there should NOT be identical statues with different numbered lines. That defeats the ENTIRE PURPOSE of having an ES to begin with.

The argument that the church base is the FULL EX doesn't hold water as no one has both bases at the moment, nor does the church base actually ship inside the same numbered shipper with the same numbered statue.

Robin has been pretty much botched at every point along the way. I decided to wave bye-bye to Tweeterhead long ago when it comes to direct orders, but it seems its issues are wider spread than just poor customer service.

Ah well, at least the statue I have is in good condition--and I don't resell, so it's not like I care about making money. However, if I were one of those people, I would be happy that my ES (from Spec Fiction) is actually lower than the ES on Tweeterhead's own run. Even if the ES on all Tweeterhead statues appear to be 'fantasy bollocks' now.

So if I have numbers 63 of 80 (or 78 if you believe the shipper box) does that mean that I got one of the exclusives that were made for Spec Fiction but purchase through Collectors Row?

It seems as if Spec Fiction and Collector's Row probably received theirs from the same run of statues. However, it seems that Tweeterhead made their own run of EX statues with their own ES number--which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Yeah I don’t get that either but maybe there was a reason for it.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Yeah - to make sure that what should have been a victory lap for Chad on another excellent statue turns into a customer service nightmare and potentially lose more direct customers. I just don't get it. Two EX edition sizes benefits nobody and only creates problems.

And Todd's listing is a copy of Chad's - it still shows the base that no EX customer is currently getting and touts an EX of 250 (which is really 264). So, I doubt Todd will be immune to requests for the advertised base.

Now that I have the Robin statue I’m actually glad I got the gargoyle base. Other than that matches Batman and will match Batgirl I just think of the two it is a nicer base.

Any collectable with a convoluted description is very difficult to sell later on if needed. I think it's a great looking statue, but I have been soured on it. I mailed mine back to Tweeterhead two days ago. I'm going to imagine that Batgirl will have this same crossover ex. Chad should read the comments here, this happened with Batman and turns customers off.

Starfire with no EX also makes no sense that there are two edition sizes.

I get the two addition sizes if one is sold through Tweeterhead and the other is sold to other vendors to sell and especially if one has more features to it.

I know with the multiple additions of the super powers Batman statue that there was supposed to be a difference in what was sold through spec fiction what was sold through Chad‘s site but the coloring of the Batarang was incorrect so they looked the same.

Just got mine. Absolutely impossible to key all the way into the base . Had to really work it in to get it where it is, and now it's probably stuck. Contacted TH.

Ok, so I was able to actually get it keyed. Had to widen the hole ever so slightly. Even with the back foot flush, the front foot is nowhere near flush. Hopefully I can get a replacement. Sigh.
