The lack of backwards compatibility might turn off some gamers, that was one strong selling point the PS2 had going for it.

Still, I'm sure PS3 will come in 2nd behind Wii before this gen war is over.

Do you really think the Wii will hold peoples attention for 5 years and more?

I have to say i have always loved Nintendo and would love to see them make tons of money on the Wii.

I think the Wii will eventually start having problems. They're releasing alot of games, but they're almost all sh1t and I can see a few years from now, Nintendo will be the only ones releasing anything worth playing and that'll mean few and far between...just like the N64 and Gamecube. Still though..that install base is getting huge. They didn't have those numbers with their last two systems, so who knows.

I personally don't use my Wii for much of anything at the moment. I get the feeling I'm not alone there. It gets old fast ones the novelty wears off.

I've put in bold the games that might be actually be good. I know I'm being a bit of a d1ck, but I'm going on experience. Sony and Microsoft have a pretty decent approval system for keeping really bad games from making it to their consoles...Nintendo doesn't have ANY approval system. That's right...any piece of crap calling itself a game can make it to store shelves on the Wii. Not good. I'm sure I was harsh with my selection here, but you know what I mean. Nintendo always seems to be the only developer that uses their hardware properly. I think it'll be even more so with the unusual Wii setup.

Yeah those are the sure bets and if we're lucky will get a few surprises. But thats quite a few titles for just 6 months.

I didn't catch Umbrella Chronicles on that list, don't know if I'm over looking it, but it should be in bold. That should be a pretty well selling game on the wii. Everyone loves RE.

This one's going to cause some waves;

Sony pleads with third-party developers not to abandon its struggling platform.

Uh oh...don't let Bulls see this link While there's little doubt that the PS3 is struggling, I think people are way too quick to predict it's demise. Sony doesn't go down easily and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it manages to get back on top before this cycle is over. Japan is just too big a market to own and eventually PS3 sales will start climbing there.

The whole begging third parties thing sounds bad, but it's actually just smart business. Sony's made some mistakes this time around and now realize they need to change strategies a bit to get back into the fight.
