The problem for me with the Sideshow base wasn’t that Magneto was melting metal but that the Sentinel was made out of metal. Seems like an afterthought to me and Sideshow didn’t think the whole way through with the base. I would have had the Sentinel being pierced by metal objects.

I like the SS base, its the cape that really bothers me. XM has an even better base though and the switchouts are so awesome. Unfortunately it seems lke the XM will be $1300 when its all said and done. Compared to $750 for SS.

I just had to cancel my white XM Magneto due to being hit hard by some unexpected bills.
I can confirm that I had pre-ordered at $1300ish and was offered the lower rate. So, they should have this Magneto available at the awesome $850ish rate. Should be a spectacular piece!
