I pretty certain I read somewhere they plan to take preorders around first quarter 2011 and ship fourth quarter. Of course this all could have been a pleasant dream.

If possible I'll order domestically. It will depend on whether the hand painted (accurate) helmet is widely available.

Photos are too close-up should've backed up a bit, sorry about that guys. After checking these two helmets out for a loong time my excitement of recieving the McQuarrie Vader went down a couple notches. McVader is still cool but nowhere near these.

But seriously, the McVader is my piece of the year, and this new helmet makes me consider what I can sell to be able to afford anther helmet in my small collection.

the emotional attachment many of us have to the ANH vader cannot be underestimated - and easily surpasses the need for any other bucket.
