Toy Hunters - TV show

A pilot for a potential new show called "Toy Hunters" which focuses on the world of toy collecting debuted last Sunday on the Travel Channel.

The show focuses on Jordan Hembrough, a toy collector/e-tailer who goes around the country hunting for rare toys.

In the first episode he comes across a one of a kind prototype from the original ThunderCats line as well as an elusive rocket-firing Boba Fett figure from Kenner's Star Wars line.

Now if you didn't catch the show last Sunday (which is not surprising since the show was not well advertised), worry not because you can catch clips of it over on the Travel Channel's website by going here:

Heard about this from a friend last night, came home and searched around and it doesn't look like they are going to replay it anytime soon.

The stuff was kind of neat to see but that host guy is lame as hell. And the entire Boba Fett story was 100% BS. No way does a comic shop owner not know what that is or what its worth and would never have saved it just to be "found" by this guy. And the sale at the end of the con was as fake as you can make it.

was it just me or did the guy who "bought" it say he's very happy to own his expensive new Boba "Bett". I swear he pronounced it wrong...

Travel Channel replayed it earlier today. The main guy is annoying and a lot of it does seem staged. Worth watching just to see some cool stuff.

Saw it, was fun to watch but agree - the main guy was a douche. Caught a peek of a SS Creed on his assistants desk too

Exactly. Did this guy not have a lick of sense or an internet? I guess we were expected to buy into all that.

Cool to see NYCC as well

He just commisioned it at 20%. Told the guy it was worth $10K (which is BS) and then was surprised he didn't jump at his $5K offer.

Sold it for $17K so that's still a nice profit of $3400.

I enjoyed how he told the people he was getting the toys from that they were worth a ton of money...I was like why would you do that???
Sure Get a good deal then tell them you will sell it for more.
It was interesting to watch if it wasnt all staged
