That would be great if they could. I passed on Megatron since funds were toght and planned on selling Optimus. I?m glad I held onto Optimus and would love to pick up the original Megatron. This new Megatron i will purchase for sure assuming they don?t price us out like they did with the Final Fantasy fans.

Actually, I don't really like Transformers. But Beast Wars has a certain nostalgia factor for me. I don't usually collect villains either. But this statue looks so epic it's hard to resist. Prime1Studio has surpassed the source material with this statue

This is nothing new.

The Transformer pieces from Prime 1 have almost been at these prices since their very first Optimus Prime piece 6-7 odd years ago.

I have Optimus Primal and he was half that price. Even the previous megatron was like, $1200? Granted this is a bigger piece but it is still expensive compared the previous Beast Wars pieces.

If you are referring to the bayformers pieces I don't think that is a fair comparison.

And I’m not sure those two pieces are a fair comparison either. They were smaller and less detailed pieces. And obviously they came out ages ages ago, and in that time statues prices have gone up by at least 50%.

Whereas the Bayformer pieces had pieces of similar size and details.

And given how Prime 1 has been pricing their pieces lately, I’m a bit surprised that was all they charged for it.
