I got this from CASC's video review and I still don't see it...Almost $1300 and he is about the same size as Gladiator. I don't see the increased detail and complexity to justify the price increase either. Yes there are additional base elements (WW's sword, Aquaman's trident....) but $700 more? I know GH is a couple years old but still.
If we aren't paying for the extra size or sculpting detail what are we paying for? Oh hold on it's a maquette what was I thinking...worth it

gReat pic comparison! Looks pretty good in this pic. But the price is laughable at the same size with 700.00 more than GL?

I saw that video.... and after his review, I'm hard pressed but will pass on it. Really can't justify paying so much for this.

As much as this is an overpriced rubber statue, from what I’ve seen on photos and videos this imo has far more sculpted in detail than the previous Gladiator Hulk.
Though of course knowing what we know about the materials used between the two, everything being equal I would still buy the Hulk even if they were the same price.

both King Hulk and OG gladiator Hulk PF was released 5 years ago for $600. If you count inflation rate at the standard 2.5% per year, those 2 statues would cost $680. But the inflation rate for Sideshow statues now is at a staggering 100% + plus over 5 years or 20% increase per year. This means our annual earning increase don’t match of the inflation rate of where this hobby is now. It’s pretty sad and if collectors are paying $$$$ for these statues, they better get their money’s worth.

Depending on what constitutes the items and their corresponding weights covered under whatever inflation figures you’re looking at, they’re more or less unrealistic percentages for an operating business.
Though of course 20% is far too excessive. At worse it should be half that I would think.

Just reinforces my opinion that Canale was done a disservice by the choice to go PVC for the upper body. For those that have a strong preference for heavy statues, I'm sure that decision makes it easy to lose sight of what is otherwise an impressive sculpt, with a remarkable attention to detail.
