LOL. Didn't even think to check GG home page. I was checking my Charles Schwab research for this news and it's not reported there yet. It will be interesting to see what the outcome for GG will be.

I woke up this morning to see this headline - pretty cool considering I have stock in 3D Systems

Man, 3D systems is one expensive stock. 204 PE is pretty high. Will be interesting to see what GG does to it's earnings.






3D Systems buys Gentle Giant Studios

9:20 AM ET, 01/03/2014 - Associated PressROCK HILL, S.C. -- 3D Systems has purchased Gentle Giant Studios, which provides 3D modeling for the entertainment and toy industries.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Gentle Giant, based in Burbank, Calif., has led the development of state-of-the-art content using 3D scanning and modeling to develop and make licensed 3D printed characters, toys and collectibles from a variety of franchise properties including Marvel, Disney, AMC's The Walking Dead, Avatar, Harry Potter and Star Wars.
Last month 3D Systems, which makes 3-D printers, announced that it would acquire part of Xerox Corp.'s product design, engineering and chemistry group for $32.5 million in cash in order to expand its business.
Shares of 3D Systems Corp., which is based in Rock Hill, S.C., rose $1.43 to $95.62 in Friday premarket trading.
