I would say the first part (over selling)is true considering the number attendees last year. I pissed that they made single day tickets available for Preview Night which made a 4day pass pointless.

got our first choice, marriott right next to convention center, makes taking toddler along much easier for quick nap times

Didn't get any of our six choices so they put us out at the Sheraton near the airport. At least we have a place to stay.

So how come nobody is talking about SDCC? It's less than 3 weeks away. Has the chaos of it all finally made us lose interest? I'm going again but I don't know how SDCC I have left in me, such a hassle to go but it's still a blast.

I'm done with SDCC. So many other alternatives and honestly, if you want any of the exclusives, they're not that hard to come by.
