This argument has no basis when so far we've only seen actual in-hand actor likenesses so far on the 1:2 scale Bats and Supes. The 1:2 Joker was markedly improved at the last con showing compared to its debut, so P1 has time to improve if there's an issue. But, as I brought up in the Harley thread, I think P1's studio lighting for the site images hurts these pieces (Hot Toys solicitation photos often look worse that the usually fantastic final product, IMO, too.)
Zooming-in on them, where you're able to take in the details like the skin texture the way you would if the piece was in-front of you, the likeness is unquestionably there from what I see. Zoomed out, the lighting washes out all the detail and gives a wax mannequin look to it, which even I have a difficult time overlooking when trying to assess the accuracy. I want to see these in-hand before making a definitive statement regarding P1's track record for capturing likenesses. 1:2 Batman looks pretty perfect for my money, if I had that kind of money.
