why the difference?

I've ordered all the 1:3 and was planning on displaying them next to eachother, but now I'm worried they will look off together.

Im more about the art than technical specifications.

If a sculpture looks great but during the process got a little too big or too small, Im not going to change it

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

That's why I never completed the original SF line. Sold guile quickly after I displayed him with Ryu and Ken and noticed their sizes were off. It may seem trivial to the producer but to the collector, something like that goes along way, in terms of completing a line.

I'd definitely appreciate a greater detail to proportions, and scaling, especially when within the same line, but If that's not at the top of your list, fair enough.

Why even bother with scale then? Just offer pieces in small, medium, large and Supa Size and call it a day.

Since the 1/3's are all clayed, should we expect discrepencies in scale?

I would think it to be paramount that they all sync when displayed together.

This has been a worry for me i must admit.

I agree. While I understand the artistic point-of-view, as a collector I expect my statues to match in scale. I invest a lot of time and effort (and money) in my display space which is set up to display several 1:3 beside eachother. I wouldn't like it if several look like dwarfs or giants between the others.

For this reason I won't buy the XM Wolverine to put between my 1:4 collection, as he's known to be smaller.

For comparison, same price as Prime 1's Arkham Origins Killer Croc, with 200 less pieces made.

Same height too, price seems very fair in my opinion.
