It's sad, but the painting problem you can resolve sending this to repaint, the sculpt and the concept are still great, I'm thinking of doing this, I saw the original one and know how good this can be with the right touch

I don't fancy spending 2.5k plus shipping and import taxes which will easily make it 3k+ to then pay out to have it repainted

Yep it's allot.. Mine will be arriving in 3 days, Just got hit with a $550nzd or $350usd for import tax. so a total of $3300nzd or $2100usd.. Ouch.

I fully expect i'm going to want to tweak this myself but in more of an additive way than a full repaint.

The job this guy did on the Chronicle break out rex turned out pretty nicely.

I'd take a similar approach but maybe slightly less heavy handed. Just to add some depth and colour variation with some more high frequency detail in the areas that are lacking.
I'll also definitely be making my own pieces of broken glass around the explorer for a more correct scale and effect.

After re-watching the film again last night i ultimately feel that the essence of the scene is best captured in this sculpt and it would take many thousands of dollars worth of my own time to sculpt and 3d print this any better myself..

I hope that Chronicle Collectibles to announce that this Diorama will arrived in the warehouse by the beginning of December, if not, it will be crazy, to get before the holidays, the package with set A, from US to Europe. I have such a feeling that CC will announce us in mid-December, or early January. I have been collecting for 9 years, mostly from SC, but there have never been delays of more than 1.2 months (Sideshow Dinosauria line). PS: Please CoresNZ take as many pictures as possible, and a very detailed video with car, children, base and T-rex from many angles. Thank you

Nice find. Once again, pictures aren't great but good to see the complete diorama.
