I will only get the companion piece if it looks just as great as the main piece.

I don't necessarily buy companion pieces. I may not even buy all the statues in a series. Not a completist.

I only buy what I like and if I have money.

I think it's okay. It's okay to have a Captain America statue or a Wonder Woman statue by herself. Not necessarily must have a Red Skull, Bucky or Ares or Cheetah to go with them. Even though some of these were designed to "interact" with each other in terms of pose and base (i.e same military base, or same snow ground base etc). But they are good on their own.

I am more of a theme collector, movie statues from the 80s.
Terminator, Robocop, Keaton Batman, Arnold Conan, etc...They are all companions of an era in a way.
I bought the Batman Returns Catwoman as my first companion piece for Batman, but i was so disgusted with the likeness that I returned it.
