Just checked mine, it's still fine, no chips....

Do you think maybe you just didn't notice it when you first got the statue? That would be weird for the paint to start chipping by itself.

Looks like the wires line up with the chips, maybe when pressed onto the statue it rubbed up?

Mine came like that, but with one larger chip on the neckline. They sent me a replacement head, and it looked great - no problems since.

The first pic is not mine; it's currently listed on eBay.

I had mine displayed w/o the cape. I think the nicks occurred when bumping against the harder material of the neck/torso, though seeing it happen to someone else's statue made me wonder if the paint that was used is inherently soft/brittle.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. I took her out, snapped a few pics, boxed her back up and haven't looked at it since.
