I used to play with my sons..don't much anymore, nor do they.
It was good until it got too complex with cards and stuff. too many scenarios, etc.

But I still have 2-3 of the initial DC sets and my son has about 9-10 of the first marvel sets...all w/uniques too.

I used to love Marvel Overpower, we had to modify the rules a bit for our own liking but it was great until it got ridiculously involved and harder and harder to figure out. Still have tons of it though. Don't have much hero clix, wanted to play it but saw it going down the same road.

Very game and very well thought out. My friends and I played every week or so for a few months, but that was over 2 years ago.

You can quickly get a collection together so starting from nothing is not a big deal. I still have thousands of these guys.

PM me if you want some advice on where to buy.

I have over 500 heroclix and I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know how to play. I just like collecting and customizing the figures.

I, too, am an avid collector of the Heroclix, although I am a bit choosy about which booster packs/figures I'm interested in. The current batch, DC Origins, has some great figures (I got a Unique Mister Mind. That was cool-looking.) but there are some good ones in each line.

As for playing...if you buy one of the boxed sets that come with a pre-set number of figures, there's often a core rule book that will explain the basic premise of the rules. I agree with whoever said that the game has gotten complicated with the addition of cards and bystander tokens. But, if you want a fun board game, they're definitely something to look into.

Yep. You really rock at that! And don't feel bad. I keep collecting them and I don't play either!

Never played, and I also have hundred's of the little bugger's, all neat and clean, in those plastic boxes from the craftshop.
They were really cool for awhile then they got to crazy for me to keep up with, cut back to only Marvel set's, now I don't know were I'm at with them.
I only ever kept one of each sculpt in the beginning, now there seem's to be a different paintup and slight change to quite a few of them.
To sell or keep that is the queston now?
