Thanks. I left some expressions out. I had 12 originally so I did about 8.
It helps to be a fan too. VP is easy to do because I am a fan and there's lots of reference material out there. The smile and the laugh were the hardest expressions.

We shall see how Kolchak comes along when I get to painting them.
A few Price things left on the schedule before we get to him and Vincenzo. I could have done more expressions of them but I didn't feel as interested in that. I ended up doing 5 Kolchaks because people kept saying they imagined him with a certain expression so I did few basic ones (and a grin--as an extra challenge).

More fun with the Devil Dolls. Will have to take a group shot with the Egghead as well.

You are most excellent with expressions on your creations...that's what makes a statue come to, life

See this is what I love to see on a statues face. That expression, almost to the point of having a soul!!

It looks so natural.

That one particular smiling face is unusually lively.
I read one time that a sculptor should not try to do smiles or grins because it can look grotesque but I think it depends how you do it.
The difficulty is making the face look relaxed and not strained.
Because a smile (and especially a laugh) is not a fixed expression, the face is moving and you have to grab the expression from all angles.

Kolchak s coming in the mail so I should be starting on the molds by the end of the week.
