Really curious here to see where the story is going.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked today's issue (#7), but as an Archie fan, I was surprised that such a strong re-invention of Archie history was introduced. As far as I know, the 1st Archie comic ever (I have it in a collected-trade), had Betty moving into Riverdale & meeting close-by neighbor, Archie Andrews, on her families' moving day. Afterlife 7 switches this around when the original story could have easily been incorporated & would have worked. Aguirre-Sacasa should have kept true to the history, especially when one considers that he's the new Chief Creative Officer of the company. Finally, while I'm mildly-complaining, I'm worried that the move from Riverdale into a "Walking Dead-like wander-mode" could really hurt this series. Riverdale is a character, imo. The Archie gang, residing in Riverdale & what they do there, is Archie Comics for me. W/o Riverdale ... Archie & friends are just a clump of people.

That's very well-said, and so true.

Yeah, well, just read it and this is now beginning to feel like a Walking Dead clone. Jerry, you may well be right about the Riverdale element. Other than the twist ending, the bloom fell way off the Rose with this issue.

Looks like they're turning Afterlife With Archie into a show or movie a.s.a.p.. Better strike while the iron's hot.

Just read issue #9, focusing on Reggie and his guilt. What a great, great issue. It's a little strange that the story about Sabrina in this book isn't integrated into Sabrina's own book, but I guess it's completely different continuities.

Sabrina's book takes place in the late 50's/early 60's. Afterlife's Sabrina could be the same one, just decades later.

Reggie in this new issue just has to modeled after Steven King's Harold from The Stand. The arcs are so similar. Year wait, but a very good ish.

I waited for the Collected edition, and it was a LOOOONG wait, but well worth it! Can't wait for Vol. II!

Looking forward to Adam Hughes' Betty & Veronica, but it was hard to pick just the one cover. In the end, I went with Stephanie Buscema, although nearly went with Ryan Sook's!

I can't help but think of Ex-Corrie star Michelle Keegan when looking at Sook's Veronica!
