Oh ITA that it looks tacky, but I wasn't going to let that deter me. I mean, I'm already settling for a white suit instead of the silver.
And now you and Northern have gotten me all riled up about this because it was a poor design change from what was previewed. The attachment WAS a bangle, now its a trashy chain! 
Whomever gets this in hand - is the cape actually attached? Or can I remove the chain without hurting the cape OR her hands?

Looks to me it's not even attached via these chains. Looks like it's attached via the clasp I've circled in red.
Hopefully, these can be removed, even if it takes pliers.

I, too, am in the camp of silver nails look good.
And thanks for this pic, Northern. Gives me hope I can remove those stupid f'in chains. I'm just worried they are glued into place to prevent scratching. If that's the case, I can't image how it wouldn't damage the piece.

I know originally the nails were silver before they changed them to red, and I am glad they changed them back. I too hate the chain, and hope it can be easily removed. I think the skin color looks perfect.

I would’ve preferred her skin darker as well. I also would’ve preferred her hair be white and not as gray. Still, I love what we got.
Also the chains don’t bother me but the pic shows they certainly used to be simple bracelets.
