wktf should do a comic review thread each week...

I really enjoy our pal, wktf's posts and threads. He breaks things down like a fraction. Is always able to support his statements. Has a wealth of comic information. And makes the threads enjoyable to read.

I think it would be great if he did a break down of books weekly.

"wktf's Hits & Misses"

What do u cats think? I know I'm putting him on the spot...

wktf is a hell of a guy...I enjoy his posts & would read & participate in a weekly comic column!

Grendelscott does a great job with the DVD's, I'm more than sure wktf would do a bang-up job w/ comics!

What'ya say wktf?

Well, you guys, I'm truly flattered by this posting! furie, you really caught me off-guard with this one but I really appreciate the thought, bro.

I'd LOVE to do something like what furie's suggesting. My only concerns are my time to do a weekly with busy work/travel schedule and the ability to review an appropriate breadth of titles. I do buy quite a number of comics each week but they are the comics I enjoy (or explore) and may not include the ones others enjoy. Plus, sometimes, with the puchase of tpbs/HC books/OGNs/etc. the weekly cost can really add up, and I'd probably be hesistant to commit more personal funds to books I wouldn't normally buy.

Sam and Bartman, thanks for your supprt of furie's idea! I really appreciate it. Maybe if there's more support from the other forum members I could be persuaded.

I'd help you out. I collect a whole lot of titles. I have editorial experience. I think you should go for it.

Yeah? So, we could divvy up titles and do two sets of reviews? Like they do on www.thefourthrail.com ? That's an interesting thought...

I'm all for that. Sam has excellent taste. I've asked him for his opinion many times as well as wktf. Forum people, what do you say?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Hey wktf -

I'd read your reviews too. I've always found your posts to be very perceptive and to bolster intelligent discussion... and coupled with your obvious deep source knowledge, I think your reviews would probably be top notch!

If you don't want to commit to titles you have no interest in/don't want to spend money on, just review the current arcs in the ones you do read.
